KITESURFERS
1. Respect other users of the beach.
2. It is obligatory to have maximum cover public liability insurance.
3. It is obligatory to have a security system incorporated into your equipment which allows you to instantly remove the kite traction, without loosing it.
4. Fly your kite on land for the least time possible, before navegating.
5. The access zone is shared with bathers walking the beach. We should only use it the least time necessary to enter and leave the water.
6. Navegate only in the area indicated for such use and without invading the space designated for bathers.
7. Within the kite zone, those with least experience navegate to the right of the beach.
8. Always navegate with an experienced person watching you from land and who can help you to fly and land your kite.
9. Avoid navegating in high or offshore gusty winds.
10. Be helpful with others and always help those who need it.
11. Avoid the complaints of others which may affect the freedom of use for other kiters on our beaches.
12. If you see someone acting irresponsably or not respecting any of the present rules, don’t doubt to talk to them and even reprot them if necessary.
13. Check your equipment before navegating.
14. Avoid manouvering the kite when on the sand, to avoid accidents.
15. When a kite is on the sand, we should disconnect the lines/ropes and we should put the sprit next to the kite and secure it by placing sand on top.
16. Always raise your kite facing the sea, never facing land, in order to avoid being dragged against the wall.
17. Kiters practice the sport under their own responsability.
SPECTATORS
Always aim to be behind the kiters and never to the wind.
- Do not cross the zone where the equipment is placed or where the kites are raised or enter the sea.
Do not try to recuperate the lines or bars of a kite should the pilot have lost them.
- If you wish to learn the sport, never try to learn alone. Go to an official school, or your local club, where they will provide all the necessary information.
