The transformation of Baños de la Reina into a place of Christian worship is reflected in the building of a primitive church and a necropolis ad sanctus over part of house 1.

To the west, at the foot of the church, a free-standing baptistery was built. It is in the shape of a Greek cross and covered with opus signinum mortar, with a step leading down in each of its arms.

The delimitation of the church coincides with the layout of the north room of house 1, which means that it takes advantage of its central exedra and marble pavement. Above this, two stone sarcophagi arranged from north to south show the sacredness of the enclosure.

Elements such as a granite column and the micrite limestone thresholds represent some of the materials transformed and reused in this religious building.
